Frequently Asked Questions
What is Apex Funding Services?
Apex Funding Services is a commercial finance broker based in New York and a trade name of Apex Funding Inc. We help small and mid-sized businesses find working capital by comparing offers from a network of direct funders and lenders.
Is Apex Funding Services a direct lender?
No. We are a broker, not a lender or direct funder. Financing is provided by third-party funding partners, and the funder decides approval, amount, rate and terms.
Is Apex Funding Services legitimate?
Apex Funding Inc. is a registered New York corporation. You can reach us at (516) 474-3776 or Trey@apexfundingservices.com. We never ask for an upfront fee to apply or to receive an offer.
Does it cost anything to apply?
No. Applying and reviewing offers is free, and there is no obligation to accept.
Will applying affect my credit score?
Ask your funding specialist before any credit check. Many funders use a soft inquiry to pre-qualify, but some products, including SBA loans, require a hard credit pull before final approval.
How fast can I get funded?
Many products, such as merchant cash advances and short-term working capital, can fund within one to two business days after final approval and verification. Term loans can take several days. SBA loans usually take weeks.
What do I need to qualify?
Requirements vary by product and funder. Most look at time in business, monthly revenue, bank account activity, existing debt, and credit. See our documents checklist on the How It Works page.
Can I get funding with bad credit?
Sometimes. Revenue-based products weigh business cash flow more heavily than personal credit. Costs are usually higher, and we will show you the total payback before you decide.
What is the difference between a merchant cash advance and a loan?
A loan is borrowed money repaid with interest on a fixed schedule. A merchant cash advance is the purchase of a share of your future receivables at a discount, delivered through daily or weekly remittances. They are regulated and taxed differently.
I already have a merchant cash advance. Can you still help?
Possibly. Tell us about your existing positions honestly. Taking on additional advances (stacking) can strain cash flow, and we will tell you if consolidation or waiting is the better move.
Do you offer grants?
No. We arrange financing that must be repaid.
How do you get paid?
We are typically compensated by the funding partner when a deal closes. Ask us about compensation on any offer and we will disclose it.
Which states do you serve?
We are based in New York and work with businesses in many states, subject to each state's laws and each funder's eligibility rules. Availability varies by state, so call or email us and we will tell you whether we can help in yours.
Fraud warning
Apex Funding Services will never ask you to pay a fee before funding, to buy gift cards, or to send money to "unlock" an approval. If someone claiming to be from Apex asks for this, stop and call us directly at (516) 474-3776.
